Film & photo

I shoot and cut film, and I carry a camera when I travel. It is the same job as product work: decide what the story is, then leave out everything else.

Still from the film: a surveyor in a hi-vis vest walks across open desert scrub, with a flat-topped mesa behind.

We’re on a Mission

Chronicle Heritage, 2026. Producer, camera and editor.

Most days I am behind a desk, building the software these teams use to record their work. For a few months I got to do something different: travel across the company, sit down with the people doing the work, and hear their stories first hand.

I have never struggled to finish an edit like this one. Two hours of footage, and every person in it told a story that deserved to make the final cut.

  • Still from the film: A pickup truck drives toward the camera down a dirt road, its dust lit from behind by a low sun.
  • Still from the film: Three surveyors in hi-vis vests kneel on open ground, looking closely at something in the soil.
  • Still from the film: A surveyor walks toward the camera past a juniper, with a mesa on the horizon.
  • Still from the film: A surveyor in a sun hat and hi-vis vest looks down at a phone in a rugged case, in green scrub.
